Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Banking Relationship Advisor, Team Leader to join our team at Northern Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and cultivating credit and banking relationships with high net worth individuals, multi-generational families, corporations, and business owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new relationships and existing relationships with a focus on bringing new business to the bank.
  • Identify prospects and develop an ongoing marketing strategy for clients and prospects.
  • Generate significant new annual loan production, with a majority of it being self-sourced.
  • Analyze, structure, and negotiate complex loan opportunities to win new business in accordance with policies and sound risk management practices.
Requirements
  • 7 years or more of commercial lending, private banking experience, or a combination of both.
  • Formal credit training by a national or large regional bank preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of the banking industry, competition, and financing, usually acquired through formal education and experience.
  • Knowledge of investments, trust, and financial consulting concepts to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Strong credit acumen to advise high net worth clients with complex credit needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and portfolio management expertise.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
