Job Description

As a Diesel Maintenance Specialist at Penske, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Your duties will include:

  • Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
  • Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
  • Performing preventative maintenance repairs, such as replacing or rotating tires, and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles

You will work alongside experienced supervisors and master technicians, receiving hands-on coaching and industry-certified training to ensure your success in this role.

Requirements

To be successful as a Diesel Maintenance Specialist, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
  • A valid driver's license
  • The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
