Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance to assigned program areas, including data collection, technical assistance, records management, field reviews and inspections, documentation, and schedule development.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform pavement management decisions, including pavement ratings, properties, sampling and testing procedures.
  • Develop and implement pavement management plans, including schedule development and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure effective pavement management practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in pavement management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pavement management, including data collection, technical assistance, and records management.
  • Knowledge of material sampling and testing principles, engineering aspects of highway materials usage, and statistical concepts.
  • Ability to prepare oral and written technical reports, and use computers and software applications to include database applications.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • DEQ Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector or Designer certification.
  • Experience in pavement management to include pavement ratings, properties, sampling and testing procedures.
  • Guardrail (GRIT) certification.
  • A combination of training, experience, or education in Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in data collection processes and schedule development.
  • Hazardous Waste (DOT) - RCRA certification.
  • Radiation Safety (Nuclear Gauge) certification.
  • Applicable materials certifications to include: asphalt, concrete, soils and aggregates, pavement markings, etc.
