Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality products meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality control procedures and be able to interpret test results to improve product performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal safety standards
  • Interact with internal customers, including customer service and design teams
  • Ensure calibration of all testing equipment
  • Interpret the impact of testing results on product performance
  • Assist with and complete projects under the direction of the Process Improvement Manager
  • Observe equipment conditions and report potential problems
  • Support the Process Improvement Manager in tracking, resolving, and disposing of customer complaints
  • Investigate critical quality defects on in-process and finished products
  • Generate and analyze quality data and reports

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of warehouse/inventory experience preferred
  • 1 year of supervising warehouse/inventory staff preferred
  • Computer and database application skills
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems
  • Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift product

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior work experience in the corrugated industry

Language Skills
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Mathematical Skills
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Technical Skills
The individual must have a working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities, cost issues, quality standards, and regulatory requirements including wage and hour requirements, environmental and waste minimization, company policies, and personnel requirements.
