We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at Harbor Grille, a well-established restaurant located in the BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operations of the back of house and kitchen area, ensuring that our high standards of quality and safety are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
- Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Conduct inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Train and develop kitchen staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils to ensure they are in good working order.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training or experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with staff and management.
- Must be eligible for and maintain SIDA badge required to work in airport.
