At Artifact Coffee, we're seeking a skilled Event Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you'll be responsible for executing private events at Artifact Coffee and other off-site opportunities. You'll work closely with our Culinary Director to coordinate prep, communicate effectively with our Events Director and Event Lead, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food handling.

Responsibilities:

  • Review Banquet Event Orders prior to events and coordinate prep with the Culinary Director.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper food handling, including heating, holding, cooling, storage, labeling, dating, and general cleaning.
  • Follow established recipes precisely and ensure that food comes out simultaneously, at high quality, and in a timely fashion.
  • Facilitate overall kitchen organization, including line and prep spaces, kitchen equipment, and proper storage and labeling of food.
  • Adhere to all policies as provided by HR regarding staff disciplinary action, onboarding, anti-discrimination, harassment, ethical behavior, and any other policy defined in the Handbook or otherwise.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with the team and guests.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a banquet setting or fine dining restaurant.
  • An enthusiasm for locally sourced food.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.
  • Ability to work and collaborate as a team member.
  • ServSafe certified preferred.
  • Dependable and motivated to learn, with excellent communication skills.
