Job Opportunity for Experienced Construction Superintendent

Bergman KPRS, a national General Contractor/Project Management firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Supervision: Oversee assigned projects, ensuring timely completion, quality control, and safety compliance in accordance with Bergman KPRS standards.
  • Project Coordination: Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure critical path completion.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control duties, including inspections and documentation.
  • Communication: Collaborate with project teams regarding ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals.
  • Subcontractor Management: Ensure subcontractors comply with contracted scope of work and safety standards.
  • Inspections and Compliance: Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and identify non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Conflict Resolution: Identify and communicate conflicts in construction progress to project teams for resolution.
  • Job Site Management: Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
  • Punch List Identification and Completion: Assist in identifying and completing job progress and completion punch lists.
  • Budgeting and Bidding: Assist in budgeting, bidding, and awarding subcontracts.
  • Permitting and Approvals: Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
  • Project Material Submittals: Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job site.
  • Scope Identification: Identify areas of work outside of subcontracted scope.
  • Deficient Work Resolution: Identify and provide resolution for deficient work.
  • Teamwork and Professionalism: Demonstrate strong teamwork and professionalism, including objectivity, openness, and respect for others.
  • Safety and Security: Observe and enforce safety and security procedures, and report potentially unsafe conditions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of strong, verifiable experience with thorough knowledge of various trades.
  • Hands-on Experience: Must have hands-on building experience as a Superintendent.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Documentation: Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Communication: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and communicate effectively using various tools.
  • Organizational Skills: Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Microsoft Office: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ProCore.
  • Professional Appearance: Strong, clean professional appearance.
