Activities Coordinator Assistant

The Activities Coordinator Assistant will work closely with the Activity Coordinator to design and implement activity programs that meet Federal, State, and facility requirements. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging and inclusive experiences for residents, promoting social well-being and life satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Activity Coordinator to develop and implement activity programs that cater to the needs and preferences of residents.
Assist in creating resources to provide a high-quality activity program that addresses the needs, prior lifestyles, and preferences of residents.
Provide necessary documentation for programs and services performed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff through newsletters and promotional materials, highlighting the objectives and successes of the activity program.
Participate in activity in-services and educational programs, sharing knowledge and best practices with staff.
Maintain a safe and respectful environment for residents, adhering to facility guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Two years of experience in a school, recreational program, or healthcare setting preferred.
Activity/recreation certification from NCTEC, NCCAP, or Occupational Therapy Association preferred.
