Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience following law school (ABA accredited);
  • Preferred experience in an in-house legal environment;
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial and corporate law;
  • Exceptional skills in negotiation and drafting;
  • Experience in the international hospitality sector (e.g., cruises, travel, hotels) is a plus;
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities;
  • Capacity to cultivate and sustain robust professional relationships across the organization;
  • Aptitude for conveying complex legal concepts and risks in accessible terms for non-legal colleagues;
  • Ability to thrive in a highly autonomous role.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate, review, and draft various contracts;
  • Provide legal guidance on a range of U.S., international, and hospitality laws;
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks by developing and enforcing company policies and procedures;
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations;
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and upkeep of our privacy program in compliance with relevant privacy laws and regulations;
  • Advocate for legal, compliance, and risk management best practices throughout the organization;
  • Engage with and oversee any external parties such as legal counsel or auditors;
  • Design and deliver legal training sessions for the business;
  • Support and execute contracting strategies for new product initiatives;
  • Stay informed about legislative changes, particularly those affecting your business and industry;
  • Collaborate with senior leadership within the organization.
