Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to oversee the creation of our retail mobile application. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in retail and have experience managing projects focused on consumer-facing mobile applications. You will be tasked with guiding the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to final launch, ensuring that our mobile application effectively meets user needs and aligns with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vision & Strategy: Contribute to the vision and strategic direction for our retail mobile application, ensuring it aligns with business goals and customer expectations.
  • Project Oversight: Direct and manage the mobile application project, including planning, execution, and delivery. Supervise all stages of the project lifecycle, from conception to launch.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, marketing, and sales, to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Market Analysis: Perform market research and user analysis to identify trends, needs, and opportunities for innovation in the retail sector.
  • Performance Evaluation: Track and analyze performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to foster continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, user stories, and project plans. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in mobile application development environments. Proven history of managing a minimum of 2 consumer-facing retail application projects in the last 5 years. Expertise in collaborating with both external agencies and in-house teams to deliver projects on schedule.
  • Retail Insight: Knowledge of the retail industry and its unique challenges, especially in mobile technology.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with mobile application development processes, tools, and methodologies. Experience with agile development practices is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively convey vision and strategy to diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and manage complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience with specific retail technology platforms or tools.
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles for mobile applications.
