The successful candidate will possess a robust background in retail and experience managing projects related to consumer-facing mobile applications. You will be tasked with guiding the complete project lifecycle, from initial concept to final launch, ensuring that our mobile application fulfills user requirements and aligns with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Vision: Contribute to the vision and strategic direction for our retail mobile application, ensuring it meets business goals and customer expectations.
  • Project Management: Direct and manage the mobile application project, encompassing planning, execution, and delivery. Supervise all stages of the project lifecycle, from conception to launch.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, marketing, and sales, to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Market Research: Perform market research and user analysis to uncover trends, needs, and opportunities for innovation within the retail sector.
  • Performance Tracking: Evaluate and analyze performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to foster continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain project documentation, including requirements, user stories, and project plans. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in mobile application development environments. Proven success in overseeing a minimum of 2 consumer-facing retail application projects in the last 5 years. Expertise in collaborating with both external agencies and in-house teams to ensure timely project completion.
  • Retail Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the retail industry and its unique needs and challenges, especially in mobile technology.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of mobile application development processes, tools, and methodologies. Experience with agile development practices is advantageous.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to effectively convey vision and strategy to diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions and manage complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience with specific retail technology platforms or tools.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles for mobile applications.
