Position Overview: The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is a comprehensive division within the UNM School of Medicine dedicated to delivering exceptional education to residents, medical students, and health professionals, while also providing top-tier mental health services to the community and engaging in significant multidisciplinary research to address critical health issues.

We are in search of a project assistant to enhance our administrative operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Support:
Assist in the implementation of various initiatives that require effective communication, organization, resourcefulness, and diligence.

Reception Duties:
Manage front desk operations, welcome and guide visitors, handle phone inquiries, take messages, sort and distribute correspondence, and perform various clerical tasks.

Data Management:
Support data entry tasks across multiple initiatives, including medical documentation, database maintenance, data quality assurance, and filing.

Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare documents and presentations, assist in reporting, create promotional materials, and manage copy orders, document reviews, and formatting. Proficiency in Microsoft applications is essential, along with attention to detail, reliability, and patience. The ideal candidate will be responsive to requests, resourceful, and adaptable. Strong administrative, organizational, and customer service skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Intermediate proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Suite applications. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a professional environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
