We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Health Program Coordinator to join our team at Albuquerque Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive school health program that promotes the health and well-being of students.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement a total school health program based on student needs.
- Provide health education and training to teachers, students, and parents on health matters.
- Identify health problems and develop individual health care plans.
- Initiate medical and mental health referrals to parents, school personnel, and community providers.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures regarding school health and the control of communicable diseases.
- Oversee compliance with state immunization laws.
- Arrange for the routine care of ill and injured students.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of the District medication policy.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Valid New Mexico Nursing license 700, 701, 702, or 703.
- Valid State Department of Education School Nurse license.
- Maintains current CPR certification.
- One year of experience in nursing or community nursing.
