Program Coordinator Opportunity at the University of New Mexico

The University of New Mexico's College of Population Health (COPH) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to support the traditionally taught BSPH and MPH programs. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that offers a competitive hourly rate of $18.81 to $25.56, depending on education and experience.

About the Role

The Program Coordinator will report directly to the Director, Academic Success in the College of Population Health. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing education support for courses in BSPH and MPH education programs
  • Creating and editing course materials in Canvas
  • Assisting with updating marketing materials, student handbooks, website updates, correspondence, and emails
  • Training TA/GA positions on UNM and faculty expectations, as well as ensuring that faculty have necessary course materials to plan and teach courses
  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of workshops, student recruiting events, orientation, and convocation events, and other COPH-related events
  • Serving as the central point of contact for day-to-day needs of instructors and students regarding course scheduling, catalog, and website information, marketing materials, course fliers, student handbook updates, alumni lists, book orders, room scheduling, and UNM Canvas
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED, with at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Experience interacting with students, faculty, and/or staff in a team environment
  • Advanced writing and editorial skills
