Job Summary:

The Clinical Specialist will be responsible for providing clinical case coverage and training to the surgical team on the safe and effective use of medical devices. This role requires a strong understanding of minimally invasive spine procedures and the ability to develop technical acumen to serve as an educational and clinical resource.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Case Coverage: Provide clinical case coverage as assigned, ensuring that the surgical team is well-equipped to handle complex medical procedures.
  • Training and Development: Train the surgical team to assist in good patient outcomes and verbally support cases during the training period.
  • Technical Acumen: Develop technical acumen to serve as an educational and clinical resource, providing expertise on medical devices and procedures.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Support sales and marketing initiatives, maintaining strong relationships with healthcare providers and customers.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and prepare equipment/kits for surgery and quality control audits, ensuring that all necessary materials are available and in good working condition.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a clinical specialist or related medical role, preferably in a medical device company.
  • Education: A High School Diploma or GED, or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a clinical specialist or related medical role, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical specialist or related medical role.
  • Location: The ideal candidate will reside within 40 miles of Sacramento.
  • Travel: 20% travel required, with an average of 1-2 nights per week in a hotel.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $90,000+
  • Variable Bonus: $20,000+ paid out quarterly, for a total OTE of $110,000+
  • Travel Expenses: Covered by the company.
  • Car Allowance: $700/month, plus gas or straight mileage options.
  • Benefits: Cell phone, computer, BCBS full benefits, and 401K up to 4% matching.
