Role Summary:

The Senior ALIP Solutions Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of ALIP applications, encompassing ALIP business, product, and integration configurations.

This position requires the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team of developers to deliver comprehensive solutions for critical business projects in a dynamic environment.

Effective communication with Business Analysts, API Developers, application support teams, and fellow programmers across the organization is essential.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support all initiatives related to the ALIP Administration system and its downstream integrations with other systems.
  • Develop and maintain ALIP Integration and API configurations.
  • Establish and uphold frameworks for business and product configurations, core designs, and best practices.
  • Provide oversight and mentorship to Athene configurators regarding design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Application Support team to ensure seamless production processing.
  • Engage with business analysts and clients to gather project requirements.
  • Evaluate project requirements and estimate timelines for completion.
  • Assist QA in documenting acceptance criteria based on business and product configuration designs.
  • Participate in code reviews and unit testing of new developments with peers.
  • Coordinate with other development teams to ensure a unified approach to software development.
  • Adhere to software development best practices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate across various departments to optimize results.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, management, and other teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a Platform Engineer role.
  • 3+ years of experience with ALIP business and product configurations.
  • Proficiency in ALIP Annuity platform and ALIP Data structure is essential.
  • Strong understanding of ALIP Configuration tools and design methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple teams within the organization.
  • Background in the financial services industry with a foundational understanding of annuity concepts is preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams both onshore and offshore.
  • Familiarity with implementing within the SAFe Agile Framework.

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is competitive within the market, with actual compensation determined by geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, and skill level, finalized at the time of offer.

In addition, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be applicable based on the role.
