POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a licensed Structural Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience in the design and management of structural engineering projects. Candidates must possess Professional Engineer licensure or the ability to obtain it promptly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and oversee structural engineering projects for industrial, commercial, and educational sectors, with a primary focus on industrial initiatives. Collaborate with seasoned engineers and technicians while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Lead the structural design phase of projects, making informed design choices and ensuring the quality and completion of construction documentation, specifications, and reports.
  • Establish and manage the structural scope, schedule, and budget for projects.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Mentor junior engineers and team members.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle, as well as the ability to work at heights and in various site conditions.
  • Engage in design discussions, contribute to project management, and participate in quality control and design work using drawing, modeling, and 3D imaging techniques.
  • Direct non-licensed professionals and coordinate the design process and technical documentation.
  • Create graphical representations and perform design detailing using Revit.
  • Attend client and project meetings, both independently and alongside other design professionals, to explore business development opportunities and manage contracted projects.
  • Exhibit strong critical and creative thinking skills related to design processes.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of architectural specifications, building codes, life safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations for prospective projects.
  • Additional duties include overseeing shop drawing reviews and conducting field data collection and entry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven experience in structural design utilizing concrete, steel, and masonry; wood design experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lead structural design from initial concepts through to construction documentation for both single and multi-discipline projects.
  • Experience in guiding junior engineers and designers, along with collaborating across disciplines.
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with comfort in presenting design solutions to clients.
  • Familiarity with Revit, 3D software (Navisworks/Recap), structural engineering design tools, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
