Position Overview:

Pantheon is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable AWS Cloud Operations Specialist to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will be pivotal in facilitating our transition from on-premises infrastructure to AWS cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Support: Your primary focus will be on maintaining the AWS environment, which includes managing IAM policies, monitoring system performance, applying patches, responding to incidents, and overseeing logging and security technical implementation guides (STIGs).
  • Issue Resolution: You will investigate and resolve intricate customer challenges associated with AWS services, identifying root causes and formulating solutions to guarantee optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Technical Assistance: Serving as a technical advisor, you will assist customers by addressing their inquiries, guiding them through troubleshooting processes, and configuring AWS services to align with their specific requirements.
  • Collaboration: You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other internal teams to escalate complex issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge base articles to empower customers with self-service options.
  • Continuous Learning: Staying abreast of the latest AWS technologies and features will be essential to providing exceptional support to our customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations or a related field.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services, particularly EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, and CloudFormation.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience working with AWS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working with Department of Defense or federal clients is advantageous.
  • AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect - Associate) is preferred.
  • Experience with data migrations from on-premises to cloud environments.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.

Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship with the capability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: This position is remote within the United States.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is between $79,200 and $99,000, dependent on experience, geographic location, and contractual obligations.
