Position Overview:

Enpro Inc. is on the lookout for a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to enhance our Cloud Services Team. The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience in developing and refining hybrid cloud service initiatives within large-scale organizations. This role is pivotal in spearheading cloud transformation projects, utilizing infrastructure as code methodologies to elevate Enpro's IT framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the design and execution of architectural strategies to bolster Enpro's AWS cloud modernization efforts.
  • Implement AWS cost management strategies, emphasizing automated oversight and resource management.
  • Pinpoint opportunities to separate cloud-based services to boost reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Create and implement serverless architectures using cloud-native technologies such as APIs and Lambda.
  • Promote cloud optimization initiatives across business lines, demonstrating the benefits for application and server workloads.
  • Work alongside external IT teams to transition legacy systems to AWS.
  • Develop reusable, efficient, and scalable solutions with cost-effective migration plans.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of Enpro's hybrid cloud strategy.
  • Formulate tailored cloud migration approaches for newly integrated companies.
  • Establish corporate guidelines and standards to document best practices and strategies for cloud deployment and infrastructure management.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, designing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
  • Experience in programming and scripting with contemporary development languages.
  • Solid understanding of core AWS services, their applications, and AWS architectural best practices.
  • Hands-on experience across various domains including database design, business intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams comprising both IT and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to swiftly identify and resolve issues in distributed systems.
  • Capability to work under tight deadlines and extended hours when necessary.
  • A proactive approach to learning, staying updated with emerging technologies and trends.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant industry certifications (AWS, Microsoft, Hashicorp, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Experience in managing multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with compliance standards such as PCI, GDPR, and DFARS.
