Position Overview:

Enpro Inc. is in search of a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to enhance our Cloud Services Team. The successful candidate will have a robust technical background in developing and refining hybrid cloud service initiatives within large organizations. This role involves spearheading cloud transformation projects by utilizing infrastructure as code methodologies to advance Enpro's IT capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the design and execution of architectural frameworks to facilitate Enpro's AWS cloud enhancement strategies.
  • Implement AWS cost management initiatives, emphasizing automated oversight and administration of cloud resources.
  • Discover methods to disaggregate cloud-based services to boost reliability, accessibility, and efficiency.
  • Create and implement serverless architectures using cloud-native technologies such as APIs and Lambda.
  • Identify and promote opportunities for optimizing cloud resources across business lines.
  • Collaborate with external IT departments to transition legacy systems to AWS.
  • Develop reusable, efficient, and scalable solutions along with cost-effective migration plans.
  • Support the evolution of Enpro's hybrid cloud strategy.
  • Formulate tailored cloud migration approaches for newly integrated entities.
  • Establish corporate guidelines and standards to document cloud best practices related to application deployment and infrastructure management.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, designing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform.
  • Experience in programming and scripting with contemporary development languages.
  • Familiarity with core AWS services, their applications, and AWS architectural best practices.
  • Hands-on experience across various domains, including database design, business intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams, including IT and business stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in distributed systems.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and extended hours when necessary.
  • A proactive approach to learning, staying updated with emerging technologies and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with individuals at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant industry certifications (AWS, Microsoft, Hashicorp, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Experience in managing multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI, GDPR, and DFARS.
