We are looking for a passionate and skilled Machine Learning Scientist to become a vital part of our team at Amazon AGI (Artificial General Intelligence). You will play a crucial role in enhancing the forefront of AGI models, significantly influencing the customer experience with Amazon's offerings.

Our team engages in a variety of initiatives involving Large Language Models, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Understanding, and Engagement optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
Utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) and transformer-based architectures to enhance Amazon's user experience and introduce innovative features.

Conduct in-depth data analysis and modeling with extensive datasets to derive insights that boost device usage and improve customer satisfaction.

Employ machine learning and natural language understanding methodologies to refine our conversational interfaces and search algorithms.
Execute A/B testing, assess the effects of your enhancements, and share your findings with diverse business stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with product managers and software engineers to design experiments and implement comprehensive solutions.
Participate in the Amazon-wide machine learning community, engaging in both internal and external Hackathons and Conferences.
Assist in attracting and recruiting technical talent.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
Experience in implementing algorithms using both established toolkits and custom-developed code.
3+ years of hands-on machine learning experience.
1+ years of experience in developing models for business applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience in building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications.
Experience in professional software development.
Strong foundation in machine learning with expertise in NLP and LLM algorithms and tools.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,200/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is determined by several factors including market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company.

Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, along with a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
