Your Role:

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will:

  • Facilitate Material Movement: Oversee and expedite the movement of materials, components, and assemblies with minimal supervision, ensuring efficient processing and progression.
  • Set Delivery Timelines: Establish and communicate clear timelines for all logistics-related deliverables.
  • Validate Shipments: Ensure the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, adhering to specified rates and standards.
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep detailed records related to shipping and receiving, including marking containers with identification and shipping instructions.
  • Engage with Vendors: Regularly communicate with vendors through various channels to requisition materials and confirm shipment dates.
  • Coordinate Distribution: Manage and oversee the distribution of materials upon arrival to ensure a seamless logistics process.
  • Conduct Inspections: Perform quality and quantity inspections on products to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
  • Enhance Customer Satisfaction: Actively work towards meeting schedules and supporting requirements to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Address common logistical challenges and inquiries, escalating more complex issues to higher levels of support as necessary.
  • Support Team Development: Assist in the orientation and training of junior team members to cultivate a knowledgeable and efficient workforce.
  • Execute Additional Tasks: Carry out other duties as assigned to support logistics operations effectively.

Qualifications:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, necessitating U.S. Citizenship. An active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is required, along with a willingness to undergo a polygraph examination and upgrade clearance as necessary.

Minimum of 2 years of logistics experience managing similar U.S. Government projects of comparable size, scope, and complexity, preferably with NRO experience to adequately understand mission needs across the project.

A High School Diploma or GED is required as a foundational educational background.

Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of information and telecommunications management professionals.

Ability to maximize technical, performance, and operational efficiencies while minimizing lifecycle costs.

Ability to enhance services and capabilities, provisioned as a service.

Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

5-10+ years of logistics experience managing similar U.S. Government projects of comparable size, scope, and complexity, preferably with NRO experience to adequately understand mission needs across the project.
