Department Overview
The Building Services - Custodial division is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary facilities that meet the needs of the University community while safeguarding the assets of Colorado State University.
Position Summary
This role is designed to oversee a team of up to twelve Custodian I staff members and one Lead Custodian (Custodian II), ensuring the delivery of high-quality custodial services to building occupants.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- A minimum of two years of custodial experience in a commercial or institutional setting.

Supervisory Duties
- Direct and oversee the work of a custodial team of 8 to 15 Custodian I staff and one Lead Custodian.
- Manage work assignments, inspect quality of work, evaluate performance, and administer discipline as necessary.
- Implement process improvement initiatives and maintain operational standards.
- Conduct employee timekeeping and facilitate training for new hires.
- Order and manage custodial supplies.
- Document training and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Participate in meetings with peers and management.
- Assist custodial staff in daily operations and support for various campus events and snow removal as needed.
