Department Insight

The Long-Term Foster Care (LTFC) program at Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains (LFSRM) is designed to provide care and support to Unaccompanied Children (UC) in federal custody while they await the resolution of their immigration cases. These children are placed with licensed foster families and have the opportunity to attend public school, ensuring they experience a nurturing family environment.

Position Summary & Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the effective delivery of clinical services within the program. This position will provide consultation and trauma-informed guidance to program staff and stakeholders, promoting stable foster placements and offering clinical insights. The Clinical Supervisor will also conduct training sessions for new staff during their onboarding process and as needed thereafter. This role includes direct supervision of the therapeutic team and may involve supporting direct client treatment services based on program requirements.

Example Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision, leadership, and training to the therapeutic team.
  • Support and oversee the therapeutic team in service delivery, documentation, and client-related matters.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic services to clients and the community as necessary, including group and family therapy.
  • Facilitate comprehensive clinical training for staff and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal documentation practices and reporting requirements in accordance with contracts and licensing standards.
  • Engage in meetings with stakeholders to provide clinical feedback regarding client treatment needs.
  • Participate in data collection and review to assess individual and program success, setting goals for improvement based on overall strategies and objectives.
  • May participate in an on-call rotation.
Transportation Requirements

Must maintain a valid driver's license and carry personal auto liability insurance at the level of $100,000/300,000/100,000.

  • Frequent local travel may be required, including transporting clients in a personal vehicle.
Required Certifications
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or a related behavioral science with clinical experience as a program requirement.
  • Two (2) years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience.
  • Clinical License - LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LP.
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
