About the Role

As a Family Intervention Specialist at Youth Villages, you will play a critical role in providing intensive home-based therapy to families in need. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a strong sense of purpose and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of troubled children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry a small caseload of 4-6 families and provide regular family sessions, typically 3 times a week
  • Hold weekly supervision meetings to ensure effective case management and coordination
  • Utilize web-based documentation tools to track progress and maintain accurate records
  • Provide on-call availability to families during the week and one weekend per month
  • Travel up to 60-80 miles to meet with families in their homes, utilizing a personal vehicle and maintaining accurate mileage records
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field of study (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy)
  • One year of full-time experience working with at-risk youth, including those with behavioral challenges and complex needs
  • Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance
  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing demands
