Insurance Account Manager

Job Summary:

As an Account Manager at Lockton, Inc., you will be responsible for delivering exceptional client service and driving business growth. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance products and services, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage designated book of business, including marketing, claims, and administration
  • Respond to client inquiries and maintain documentation of communications
  • Support implementation of new lines of coverage, including setting up accounts and reviewing plan details
  • Gather and compile exposure information from clients, including loss-run schedules and client stratifications
  • Request and collect quotes from carriers, audit quotes and binders, and make requests for changes as needed
  • Process audits and create audit analysis for clients
  • Update policy information and ensure completeness
  • Monitor receipt of quotes from carriers and negotiate with senior staff as needed
  • Bind coverage under direction of the Unit Manager/Account Executive
  • Inform clients of changes that may affect insurance premiums or coverage
  • Gather and compile information for new business opportunities
  • Input client information into data management system and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Generate materials for client presentations and meetings
  • Create and send compliance communications as needed
  • Issue and process client invoicing
  • Engage with Producer and Accounting Department to determine action plan and assist in collection efforts or billing discrepancies
  • Research industry trends and governmental regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent
  • Typically three to seven years of client services experience required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
  • Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
  • Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
  • Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
  • Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier, and facsimile machine
  • Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
  • Legally able to work in the United States
