Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Member Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, processing member transactions, and providing financial solutions to meet our members' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Services
    • Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account transfers.
    • Provide accurate and timely information to members regarding their accounts and financial services.
    • Assist members with opening new accounts, ordering checks, and performing account maintenance.
    • Interview and assist members with loan applications, obtaining necessary documentation and preparing loan packages.
  • Loan Interviewing and Processing
    • Receive and review loan applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is present.
    • Analyze loan decisions and notify members of the outcome, discussing payment terms and options.
    • Set up loans for disbursement, faxing or mailing necessary documents as required.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to member inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner, maintaining strong relationships with members and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a financial institution, with a focus on member service and loan processing.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and regulations.
  • Skills
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects.
