About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Member Service Representative I. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, aligned with our core values and mission statement. Your primary duties will include:

  • Processing member service transactions in person and/or via phone, mail, fax, and online services.
  • Providing accurate information to members regarding credit union services, products, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyzing member accounts to provide better services and deepen relationships.
  • Cross-selling and servicing members to meet established sales goals.
  • Performing other member services, operational, loan processing/interviewing, and administrative duties as assigned.

You will work closely with our loan officers to interview and assist members with loan applications, obtain pertinent loan information, and prepare necessary paperwork to disburse loans. Your strong service orientation, ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously, and excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills will be essential in this role.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) education.
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of previous MSR and/or loan processing/interviewing and sales experience in a financial institution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Previous telephone sales experience and ability to meet pre-established sales goals.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
