Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Member Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our branch staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, meeting sales and service goals, and providing a broad range of member services.
Key Responsibilities- Process member service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, account transfers, and address changes.
- Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service to members, including opening new accounts, direct deposits, ATM/Visa check card, and Certificate/IRA/Money Markets.
- Utilize tact and experienced-based knowledge to research and resolve member inquiries, explaining specific policies, procedures, products, and services.
- Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner, maintaining positive member relations and providing accurate information regarding Credit Union services, products, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other member services, operational, loan processing/interviewing, and/or administrative duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager or Branch Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) education required; AA degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years previous MSR and/or Loan processing/interviewing and sales experience in a financial institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CU products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Previous telephone sales experience and ability to meet pre-established sales goals.
- Strong service orientation, ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously, and excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
- PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment.
- Bilingual Spanish required.
