About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Controllers to join our Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements and supporting the regulatory change environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the AWM team in completing quality filings with global regulators on a recurring basis.
  • Provide thought leadership and recommend constructive actions to improve the filing process.
  • Oversight of various vendors and data providers related to data collection and production of filings.
  • Alignment with specific trading desks, functional datasets, and regulation.
  • Interaction with portfolio managers/COOs to review and approve reports prior to submission.
  • Investigation of data quality and resolution of issues at source.
  • Development of our AWM reporting framework, including development and testing of core internal and vendor technology systems.
  • Work closely with portfolio managers/COOs, strats, and finance engineering teams to implement complex calculation and reporting rules.
  • Partner with legal/compliance teams to provide recommendations on regulatory policy making and interpretations.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification required.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in product control, asset management regulatory/compliance, or asset management fund controller roles.
  • CFA, CPA, and/or MBA preferred.
Competencies
  • Knowledge and experience in working with various financial products.
  • Good understanding of broad aspects of various functions within the asset management industry.
  • Good understanding/experience with technology implementation and keen interest in how technology should be utilized to create value/scale.
  • Awareness and interests in the changing global regulatory landscape.
  • Ability to work independently, but always a team player who is energetic, enthusiastic, and inquisitive.
  • Ability to engage cross-functional key stakeholders, build consensus, and drive change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer

The expected base salary for this Jersey City, New Jersey, United States-based position is $85,000-$140,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
