Position Overview

What is the role? The Regulatory Compliance team at RBC Capital Markets, LLC is dedicated to ensuring precise and timely reporting to regulatory bodies, including exchanges and self-regulatory organizations. This position emphasizes operational execution and strategic planning within the regulatory domain. Key responsibilities encompass supervising junior team members, addressing compliance issues, managing internal controls, and facilitating regulatory change initiatives. The role also involves representing the department in broader discussions and collaborating with various business units across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of reporting processes and ensure adherence to established protocols
  • May act as a final reviewer for compliance submissions
  • Serve as an escalation point for intricate issues
  • Support the implementation of controls to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Prioritize reporting discrepancies and may develop necessary requirements
  • Create presentations for stakeholders
  • Assist in evaluating system and business modifications
  • Drive ongoing process enhancements
  • Document and uphold procedural guidelines
  • May have managerial duties or function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Qualifications for Success

  • Bachelor's Degree is essential, ideally in Engineering or Business
  • Comprehension of financial instruments and trade lifecycle
  • Some knowledge of Middle Office Trade Processing is required
  • Management experience is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $95,000. RBC's compensation strategy is designed to attract and retain exceptional talent to foster high performance and achieve strategic objectives while offering competitive total compensation.
