Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a variety of clerical and administrative duties to facilitate accounts receivable and overall accounting processes.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and journal entries, uphold the general ledger, and manage month-end account reconciliations.
  • Provide support during the annual audit and collaborate with the Accounts Payable Coordinator.
  • Engage with various departments and branches within the organization to ensure seamless operations.
  • Implement enhancements to processes, conduct bank deposits, and undertake special projects as designated.
  • Oversee and evaluate grant budget data, investigate discrepancies, and ensure adherence to grant agency regulations.
  • Generate precise financial reports, maintain grant agreements, and serve as a liaison with grant organizations.
  • Compile and disseminate statistical reports as requested by the Controller or Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 1 - 3 years of pertinent experience, ideally within the non-profit sector with grant-related exposure.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining confidentiality in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Positive and cooperative demeanor.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
