Job Title: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - Obstetrics Coordinator to join our team at Lakewood Physician Alliance. As an RN - Obstetrics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our obstetrics department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and perform venipuncture and procedures as directed by the physician.
  • Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with Lakewood Physician Alliance guidelines.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and assist with front desk duties as needed.
  • Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administer medications, and monitor patient progress.
  • Delegate tasks as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act and refer to physicians and other healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Provide patient education and support to ensure optimal health outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing education program.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Minimum of one to three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with three to five years of experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and medical documentation requirements.
  • Shared Decision Making and Patient Centered Medical Home principles.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

  • Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environment.
  • May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases.
  • May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances.
