Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Materials Testing Specialist to join our team at Cornerstone Geotech Services. As a key member of our geotechnical engineering team, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor's representatives, to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements and to deliver precise testing, observation, and inspection results.
  • Transport material samples, along with associated identifying documentation, to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
  • Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Project Manager.
  • Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites, as needed.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds and push a loaded wheelbarrow.
  • Pass a drug screen and/or criminal background check.
  • ACI Certified.
  • Successfully complete related internal safety certifications.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification:

  • Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
  • ACI certification.
