At TTL Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Special Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure solutions group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field Monitoring and Testing: Conduct critical inspections of construction elements, including reinforcement, post-tension elements, masonry, and wood framing, to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed field notes, documenting observations and test results, and prepare clear and concise reports summarizing field and laboratory findings.
  • Equipment and Safety: Operate and maintain field and laboratory testing equipment according to company standards, manufacturer recommendations, and industry standards, and adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training programs.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster seamless communication and collaboration with project stakeholders, provide timely updates, and proactively address challenges, and cultivate strong relationships and guide team growth.
  • Professional Development: Pursue continuing education opportunities to maintain existing certifications and to enhance technical skills and knowledge, and obtain laboratory experience working with soils, aggregates, concrete, and masonry materials.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, some college or technical training in the construction industry is preferred.

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work independently and especially in a team environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires a balance of working in a field and in a professional office environment, and project schedules often dictate working hours, so the candidate should understand that work schedules will vary (early mornings, late evenings), and some weekend work will be required.
  • Roundtrip travel to jobsites will be required (typically less than 100 miles), and opportunities for out-of-town work (regional) may be necessary to support other TTL offices.
