We are seeking an experienced Executive Vice President to join our team at Richmond American Homes. This senior-level operations manager role will oversee several departments in homebuilding operations, including Land, Sales, Construction, Purchasing, Warranty, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to maximize profits through establishing a business plan, achieving forecasts, and ensuring customer excellence.
  • Identify and negotiate the purchases of new communities for Richmond American Homes.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with Brokers and Land Sellers in the market.
  • Support short- and long-range financial development and management of the division.
  • Communicate with the corporate office to achieve corporate goals as well as division goals.
  • Support division in compliance with the Company's policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as well as with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide regular reports to the Corporate office regarding division activities.
  • Support talent acquisition, employee development, and retention of division staff.
  • Maintain professional affiliations and enhance professional growth and development to keep current in latest issues related to the industry.
  • Maintain the Division's positive reputation within the community; when necessary, attend hearings for proposed projects and meet with government officials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of production homebuilding experience and in a senior management role.
  • Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, and supervising.
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, problem-solving, and decision making.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with management, staff, board of directors, policy-making bodies, banking personnel, and the public.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
