Role Summary

This strategic communication advisor position is situated within the Tax-Exempt Market, under Fidelity Wealth. We work closely with Fidelity Workplace Investing, supporting retirement plans for tax-exempt organizations and their participants. Our clientele includes entities such as healthcare, higher education, government, and faith-based organizations, all aiming to enhance the lives of their employees. Qualifications You Bring

  • Background in employee benefits communication and/or financial services is preferred.
  • Experience in client consultation.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses are preferred (or required within 90 days).

Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to enhance participant engagement with Fidelity's extensive range of educational resources, marketing initiatives, tools, and workshops that assist participants in making informed financial choices. The Strategic Communication Advisor collaborates with clients to devise and implement a communication and education strategy that aligns with their organizational objectives and meets participant needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or participate in client meetings to assess communication needs, deliverables, negotiate timelines, and discuss budget considerations.
  • Develop strategies for effectively conveying critical information to participants, prioritizing digital communication channels.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of communications related to defined contribution/non-qualified plans and associated Fidelity products and services.
  • Address client inquiries promptly, providing comprehensive responses that exceed expectations.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction through the effective execution of communication strategies tailored to client needs and objectives, delivering superior communication services.
  • Identify plan-level opportunities by analyzing data from various internal sources and transforming these insights into actionable strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between our marketing team and clients to ensure mutual understanding and agreement on marketing campaigns prior to distribution.
  • Communicate operational updates to participants, including changes to funds or fees.
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of communications, identifying successes and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory mailing requirements in accordance with FINRA and DOL standards.
  • Estimate project costs and bill for services as applicable.
  • Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
