Job Overview

Position: Scheduling Coordinator – Oral Surgery

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Role Summary:

As a Scheduling Coordinator in our esteemed oral surgery practice, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding patient experiences and supporting our healthcare team. You will serve as the initial point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming journey from appointment scheduling to check-in. Your exceptional organizational abilities and friendly approach will be key in enhancing patient satisfaction and facilitating efficient practice operations.

  • Welcome patients and visitors warmly, providing assistance as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and schedule appointments to maximize patient satisfaction and provider efficiency.
  • Prepare daily schedules for each provider and manage patient flow to minimize wait times.
  • Collect patient financial responsibilities, prepare patient charts, and maintain a tidy reception area.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with referring offices while ensuring confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills.

  • Basic office skills, including typing and filing.
