About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EMS Coordinator to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As an EMS Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care across the continuum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and teach EMS courses and continuing education programs that meet established state and national standards.
  • Participate in appropriate committees and initiatives in EMS/Fire communities to ensure quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with the medical director and Enterprise to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Analyze raw data, find trends, and prepare statistical reports to inform program development and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of EMS, Law Enforcement, and Fire Department agencies in the service area.
Requirements
  • 5 years of related experience in emergency medical services (EMS), preferably in both field (911/ambulance and/or fire agency) and in hospital.
  • 3 years of experience in instructing students using adult learning principles and instructional methodologies.
  • Knowledge of medical/trauma terminology, disease conditions, pharmacology, cardiology, treatment modalities, therapeutic testing, and interventions.
  • Knowledge and experience in computer instructional technology and Microsoft Office Professional software.
  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Current Utah Healthcare License and/or Paramedic certification, required.
  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA BLS CPR) within one year of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA ACLS) within one year of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA PALS) within one year of hire.
Physical Requirements

Sedentary work (prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally).

Our Emergency Department at Holy Cross Hospital Mountain Point has a welcoming culture that focuses on teamwork and synergy. We are a level III trauma facility with 14 beds, and a current 4:1 nurse to patient ratio.
