Position Overview: The Head Terminal Operator is the primary leader responsible for overseeing the secure functioning of terminal maintenance and operations related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of various products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs the work of other Terminal Operators or independently manages all maintenance and operational duties at terminals without exempt supervision.
  • Plans and organizes tasks to fulfill commitments for product receipts, collaborating with supply schedulers, suppliers, and transporters.
  • Maintains terminal documentation, including stock control, waste management, regulatory compliance, payroll, personnel scheduling, and driver reporting.
  • Conducts inventory reconciliation and ensures adherence to all operational procedures and safety practices by all personnel on-site.
  • Performs inspections and maintenance to uphold operational efficiency and environmental standards, initiating corrective actions and scheduling necessary repairs.
  • Leads activities in the tank yard and Tank Truck Loading Rack (TTLR) areas, including gauging tanks, draining water, and managing intra-terminal product movements.
  • Oversees blending, sampling, and testing of products to ensure compliance with specifications while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Trains and mentors staff on terminal operations, including procedures, equipment usage, and annual training requirements.
  • Handles various terminal tasks that arise in the scope of the Head Terminal Operator's role.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant or terminal operations.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and performing mechanical repairs.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support terminal operations.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including climbing and lifting.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications and an eagerness to learn new software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in plant or terminal operations.
  • Fundamental mechanical knowledge.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with advanced fuel automation and computer systems.

Relocation and International Considerations:

Relocation may be considered. Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
