Position Overview:

Chevron is seeking a Lead Terminal Operations Specialist responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient management of terminal activities. This role involves ensuring the proper handling of product receipt, storage, and distribution while maintaining compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs and supervises the activities of Terminal Operators, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Manages terminal documentation, including inventory control, regulatory compliance, and personnel scheduling.
  • Coordinates with supply chain teams and transporters to ensure timely product deliveries and shipments.
  • Conducts regular inspections and maintenance of terminal equipment to uphold operational integrity and environmental standards.
  • Leads activities in the tank yard and loading areas, including product gauging and quality testing.
  • Provides training and mentorship to staff on terminal operations and safety practices.
  • Handles various terminal-related tasks as required to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant or terminal operations.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance tasks.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical capability to meet job demands, including climbing and lifting.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and open to learning new software tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in plant or terminal operations.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with advanced fuel automation systems.
