Guardant Health is seeking an experienced International Accounting & Consolidations Manager to oversee the international accounting functions and consolidation processes within our publicly traded multinational organization.

This role is pivotal in enhancing and executing international accounting operations, consolidations, and associated system and process advancements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess substantial operational expertise from organizations with internal international accounting capabilities or public accounting experience with clients engaged in global operations, particularly with a focus on India.

This position is highly visible, requiring collaboration across various teams and departments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct thorough analytical reviews of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting packages, consolidating entries, intercompany balances, and fluctuation analysis for all international subsidiaries.
  2. Manage the system translation, elimination, and consolidation processes, ensuring accurate reconciliation and elimination of intercompany balances.
  3. Support the monthly consolidation process, including managing the global close calendar, performing analytical reviews of monthly US GAAP consolidated results, and preparing consolidated fluctuation analysis.
  4. Assist in corporate quarterly and annual auditors' reviews concerning international reporting, providing reconciliation support to facilitate an efficient audit process.
  5. Ensure compliance with intercompany agreement terms and timely preparation of settlements.
  6. Oversee statutory audits, tax filings (including VAT/GST returns), regulatory compliance, and surveys.
  7. Assist with the preparation and processing of wires for payroll, payroll tax, and corporate tax-related payments, ensuring accurate and timely fund disbursement.
  8. Coordinate with external accounting/tax firms on transfer pricing documentation and compliance with transfer pricing policies.
  9. Develop and maintain processes and internal controls for international accounting operations, ensuring adherence to local regulations while identifying automation and process improvement opportunities.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish new legal entities and international accounting operations.
  11. Lead globalization initiatives aimed at standardizing accounting processes and enhancing efficiencies across a globally distributed team, including maintaining the global chart of accounts.
  12. Support financial analysis and forecasting activities, partnering closely with other departments, including FP&A, to provide insights into business performance.
  13. Provide strong leadership, coaching, and training to the International Accounting team, promoting professional development and growth.
  14. Maintain up-to-date desktop procedures to ensure accurate documentation of current processes.
  15. Participate in special projects, analyses, and ad-hoc tasks as required by management.
  16. Validate system interfaces, troubleshoot consolidation issues, and manage system change requests to facilitate resolutions on close and reporting-related challenges.
  17. Optimize system accounting functionality for streamlined international reporting and leverage Oracle intercompany modules and subledgers effectively.
  18. Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
