Position Summary

The Battery Test Technician is responsible for executing tests and inspections to assess the quality and functionality of our products. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to become part of our engineering and technician team. This role is temporary with the potential for permanent placement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow verbal and written instructions to ensure products meet specified standards.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Visually inspect products for defects based on established criteria.
  • Conduct quality and performance tests according to testing protocols using various tools and equipment.
  • Document any issues following the defined reporting protocols.
  • Perform open circuit voltage (OCV) checks.
  • Input testing data into quality management systems.
  • Prepare cells for shipment.
  • Maintain laboratory and testing equipment.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of basic electrical connections.
  • Experience with PCB soldering is preferred.
  • Proficient in using and maintaining hand and power tools.
  • Experience with battery production equipment.
  • Knowledge of battery testing instruments such as scales and digital multimeters.
  • Basic computer skills for accurate data entry.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks.
  • Awareness of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a production testing or product testing role.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • This position requires on-site work in Fremont, CA.
  • Must adhere to company quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Physical activities may include standing, sitting, bending, and lifting.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Work Schedule
  • Alternate workweek schedule.
  • Shifts may include Sunday through Tuesday with alternating Wednesdays.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly wage: $30.00, based on experience and qualifications.
