About the Role

Cowan Group Engineering LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Survey Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Land Survey Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing survey projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan, organize, and execute survey projects, including topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, and Oklahoma Department of Transportation land surveys.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to junior surveyors, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Client Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise as a Professional Land Surveyor to lead and assist the team in preparing survey deliverables, including data collection, processing, and reporting.
  • Quality Control: Oversee quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all survey-related activities.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to participate in business development activities, including proposal development and client presentations.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years of combined survey-related experience, with a strong background in project management and team leadership.
  • Licensure: Valid and active State of Oklahoma Professional Land Surveyor license, with the ability to obtain licenses in other states as required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field, with a strong understanding of surveying principles and methods.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, and TerraSolid, with experience in aerial and drone lidar topography, GPS, Total Station, and data collection systems.
