Land Survey Project Manager - Lead Surveyor

Job Summary

Cowan Group Engineering LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Survey Project Manager to lead our survey team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing survey projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan and coordinate survey projects, including scoping, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of surveyors, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Client Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise as a Professional Land Surveyor to lead and assist the team in preparing topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, and Oklahoma Department of Transportation land surveys.
  • Quality Control: Oversee quality control reviews to ensure accurate and timely project deliverables.
  • Business Development: Assist in the development of requests for qualifications, proposals, and client interviews.
Requirements
  • Education: A two-year (minimum) degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field is preferred and highly valued alongside the required professional experience and licensing.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of combined survey-related experience is required.
  • Licensing: A valid and active State of Oklahoma Professional Land Surveyor license and other state licensing as applicable is required.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to evaluate staff, solid knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and use of required field surveying equipment, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, and TerraSolid.
