Overview:

The Human Resources (HR) division is a worldwide entity composed of over 4,000 specialists delivering strategic human capital advisory services to the leadership of various sectors across all operational territories. Within this framework, HR is tasked with the formulation and execution of essential HR initiatives, which include: recruiting qualified personnel; aiding managers in implementing effective employee selection methods; defining suitable employment terms and conditions; facilitating comprehensive onboarding for new hires; providing employee training; evaluating job performance and talent; enhancing managerial leadership skills; planning for succession and resource allocation; gauging employee sentiment; addressing potential employee misconduct; and crafting strategies for employment termination. Additionally, HR is responsible for maintaining competitive compensation, benefits, and recognition programs designed to reward high performance and retain skilled employees. Many of these initiatives, processes, and associated data are heavily regulated, governed by policy, and carry significant legal, operational, and strategic risks.

Role of the Enterprise Human Capital Risk Team:

The Enterprise Human Capital Risk Team within Global HR Controls is charged with the development, implementation, and management of the Human Capital Risk Management Framework across the organization. Our primary functions include conducting a quarterly Human Capital Risk Appetite Assessment, generating quarterly Business Performance Reports (BPR), maintaining a comprehensive inventory of Human Capital risk taxonomy, and developing, monitoring, and reporting on Human Capital metrics while overseeing enterprise Human Capital Risk issues. The Senior Officer for Global HR Human Capital Risk is a strategic professional who provides direct support to the Global HR Controls organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and supervise the application of Human Capital risk policies, technologies, and governance processes to create sustainable solutions for minimizing losses stemming from ineffective internal processes, insufficient controls, and emerging risks.
  • Enhance the enterprise Human Capital Risk framework, including reviewing risk taxonomy, developing and maintaining minimum controls, and improving Human Capital metrics.
  • Independently evaluate risks and initiate actions to address the underlying causes of persistent Human Capital risk losses by critically assessing both historical and proposed practices.
  • Conduct the quarterly Human Capital Risk Appetite Assessment, while developing, monitoring, and reporting on Human Capital metrics.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and team members regarding the Human Capital Risk Management framework.
  • Inform governance committees and stakeholders on global, segment, and regional Human Capital risk matters.
  • Lead and manage the annual Human Capital Universal Key Indicator (UKI) reviews.
  • Monitor UKI triggers and thresholds, analyzing breaches and action steps for correction.
  • Communicate and escalate UKI breaches at various organizational levels.
  • Ensure the identification, reporting, monitoring, and management of Human Capital Risk, including UKIs, is effectively communicated to facilitate data-driven decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across various functions, including Risk Management, Finance, Internal Audit, and Compliance, to ensure proper management of Human Capital Risk processes.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in risk and control, regulatory, audit, or compliance-related fields; experience in Operational and Human Capital Risk disciplines is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, both independently and collaboratively, while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, quantitative, and investigative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in navigating and networking across an organization, leveraging internal and external resources, and collaborating across various departments.
  • Familiarity with Fraud Awareness, Risk Management Operations, Information Security Standards, Vendor Management, and Legal Compliance is beneficial.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with functional and business partners.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and reporting capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
