Position Overview:
This role is essential for the proficient management of a specified portfolio, providing daily assistance to a dedicated business banking team to ensure optimal customer service, timely responses to inquiries, and efficient resolution of operational issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed profiles of priority clients and keep assigned officers informed of significant developments; assist in managing client relationships.
- Support the administration of daily credit and loan processes, including managing overdue accounts, reviewing ticklers, extending credit, and addressing customer inquiries.
- Review and process documentation related to loan agreements and borrowing arrangements.
- Evaluate documentation for renewals and restructures as authorized by management.
- Prepare and review documentation requests, liaising with loan officers for any missing information and clarifying facts and approvals.
- Monitor overdraft accounts daily and report findings to assigned officers for approval, contacting clients as necessary.
- Maintain the file room and prepare new commercial credit files, ensuring existing documentation is accurate and consistently updated.
- Handle the preparation and securing of approval signatures for Satisfactions, Releases, and UCC3s.
- Prepare transmittal letters or ELODs for advances and pay down requests, reviewing loan statuses accordingly.
- Process customer payments, verifying loans in the system, preparing transmittals for processing transactions, and managing wire requests.
- Ensure accuracy of new loan booking data against note terms and conditions, interpreting results and reporting findings related to the loan portfolio.
- Request financial statements from clients and obtain necessary documentation to keep files current.
- Handle incoming customer inquiries regarding loan status, billing, escrows, and account analysis, conducting investigations for discrepancies.
- Respond to requests from vendors, accountants, and auditors for balance verification.
- Monitor loan maturity dates and prepare extension requests.
- Coordinate with the business banking team to ensure compliance with financial reporting and covenant requirements.
- Facilitate the closing of renewals and restructures, booking them in the loan system.
- Collaborate with management and internal legal counsel to ensure appropriate legal representation is assigned when necessary.
- Investigate and resolve customer discrepancies, complaints, and payment issues.
- Act as a liaison with various units responsible for servicing commercial clients, including loan processing, payments, and financial analysis.
- Regularly interact with third-party service providers, providing feedback to management regarding any issues or concerns.
- Manage the application of payments on the loan system in accordance with loan document terms.
- Proactively seek information from clients to understand changing situations and needs, communicating relevant information to the relationship officer.
- Ensure databases are accurate and up-to-date for customer information.
- Compile data and generate management reports as needed.
Qualifications:
