We are looking for an experienced AWS Sales Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience selling AWS services and solutions, a proven track record of success, and a strong understanding of the cloud computing market.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan, generating new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, presenting and selling AWS solutions, closing deals, and providing post-sales support.
What will you do:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets in specific geographic regions and market segments.
- Generate new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying potential customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts.
- Present and sell AWS partner solutions that meet the needs of customers.
- Close deals and negotiate contracts.
- Provide post-sales support to customers.
- Develop a detailed understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs.
How to Qualify:
- You have 5+ years of sales experience selling Amazon Web Services.
- 10+ years of sales experience in technology (infrastructure, ISV, cloud, or consulting) and you hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets for AWS partner services such as consulting, engineering, development, and managed services.
- Experience in developing and maintaining channel partnerships with AWS BD and Sales.
- Ability to work independently and build a strong pipeline of deals.
- Strong understanding of the customer problems, needs, and range of solutions provided by AWS services partners.
- A clear understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem, cloud-native, and application modernization sales.
- Experience of technology adoption journeys to evolve an account from a single sale into a long-term relationship.
- Entry-level cloud computing certifications like AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel to customer sites when necessary.
- Travel typically 15-25% or more a month
Compensation:
The salary for this full-time position in the US is an On Target Earnings (OTE) potential of $250,000+ annually including (base + uncapped commission potential + incentives) + benefits. Our company salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The salary range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Please note, the base pay offered may vary within the range depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to work location, job-related knowledge/skills, relevant education/training, and level of experience.
