Compensation: Hourly Rate, plus Benefits eligibility

Overview

As a Housekeeper, your primary role is to ensure that our residents, guests, team members, and vendors experience a clean, organized, and pleasant environment. This position is essential in maintaining the quality of living and working spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Uphold cleanliness standards in office areas, residential units, laundry facilities, fitness centers, retail spaces, and other communal areas as instructed.
  2. Thoroughly clean all restrooms, including countertops, mirrors, sinks, and fixtures in both private and shared spaces.
  3. Vacuum carpets and mop hard surface floors as necessary.
  4. Perform spot cleaning on walls and windows.
  5. Dust surfaces and dispose of waste in trash receptacles.
  6. Maintain cleanliness of baseboards, artwork, lighting fixtures, and HVAC vents.
  7. Assist in waste collection throughout the week.
  8. Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies and household items.
  9. Ensure proper utility settings in unoccupied units, adhering to community standards.
  10. Communicate any service requests or relevant information to management regarding resident welfare.
  11. Carry out additional housekeeping tasks or other duties as assigned by management to support the efficient operation of the community.
  12. Participate in on-call duties as required.
  13. Foster a positive work atmosphere through effective communication with team members, residents, customers, vendors, and management.
  14. Engage in Cardinal U training as necessary.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of professional housekeeping experience is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions; bilingual (English/Spanish) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with residents and team members.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness are essential.
  • Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 25 lbs.).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Adherence to safety standards and community expectations while completing assigned tasks.
  • Commitment to embodying Cardinal Culture and Core Values daily.

Team members must be capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, or maneuvering weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
