Moog is seeking a Senior CNC Programming Specialist with significant expertise in programming multi-axis lathe and milling machines. This role involves supporting the development and enhancement of production programs within our fabrication facility. Reporting to a Manufacturing Engineering Leader, this position offers a 9/80 work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify operations to be executed on N/C machines and prepare comprehensive program outlines while establishing tooling and gauging requirements for producing aerospace components on numerically controlled machines.

· Develop detailed operation sheets for the N/C segment of the process and estimate setup and run hours for production components, as well as design and build hours for tooling. In cases where a part involves a substantial amount of N/C work, the programmer may be accountable for the entire operation sheet.

· Beyond desk-related tasks, the incumbent is expected to engage in the N/C centers to troubleshoot issues and enhance processes related to the components under their responsibility. Problem-solving may require independent decision-making or collaboration with Group Leaders, Methods Engineers, Moog Product or Design Engineers, Quality Assurance Personnel, Moog Metallurgists, or Inspectors. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration.

· Offer technical guidance to team members.

· Contribute to the selection, placement, job evaluation, performance assessments, and appraisals.

· Support the Machine Shop and Assembly & Test areas by coordinating activities within the manufacturing engineering group.

· Actively engage in the creation of new processes and manufacturing techniques aimed at standardization and cost efficiency.

· Collaborate with department Engineers & Technicians to ensure timely and cost-effective process planning.

· Provide technical insights for complex and non-routine manufacturing engineering tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of NC Programming / Manufacturing Engineering experience.

· Alternatively, an Associate's Degree with 8+ years of NC Programming experience.

· Or a High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of NC Programming experience.

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in NC programming for multi-axis CNC machines.

· Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting intricate machining processes on multiaxial/multifunction CNC machines.

· Background in the aerospace sector.

· Familiarity with automation systems is advantageous.

· A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is desirable.

Salary range:

The base pay range for this opportunity is $95,000 - $135,000 per year.
